Description
The organ was inspired by the flemish-fries instruments, a region that counts the Netherlands and north Germany. Organbuilding was very prolific in this region in the 16th century and in the 17th century through organbuilders like Arp Schnittger that the North-German organstyle was born. This we took as reference to build the organ of Amilly.
The case has been designed by Helmut Eckhardt and is done in chestnut wood with traditional assemblies like tenons and morteeses. The stop and key action are mecanic. The wind is produced by 3 wedge-bellows.
The pipes were realized in the tradition of the 17th century in the Netherlands and North Germany (Schnittger Klapmeyer....).
The pipe dimentions and progressions come from ancient organs like Lüdingworth, Cappel, Altenbruch, Steinkirchen...)
The pipes have an alley of 86% lead.
Tune: A 440Hz, temperament Bach-Jobin
Voicing: Bertrand Cattiaux, Helmut Eckhardt in association with Jean-Marie Tricoteaux for the reeds.
